Pioneering Industry-Academia Collaboration to Build Bangladesh’s Automotive OS Ecosystem

🔍 Exploring New Frontiers with Dhaka University

On November 13, 2024, JaduPc initiated its first formal discussions with the Department of Computer Science at the University of Dhaka. The conversation revolved around potential collaboration in:

  • Embedded Systems R&D

  • Automotive Tech architecture and real-time systems

  • Applied Linux engineering for electric mobility

This early-stage dialogue marks the beginning of a shared mission — to build a strong foundation for locally-developed automotive and embedded computing technologies, starting from Bangladesh’s premier academic institutions.

🎤 Vision Unveiled at Dhaka University Seminar

On November 25, JaduPc and XENO EV were jointly showcased at a high-profile seminar at the Dhaka University Auditorium. The session covered:

  • The evolution and vision of ShopnoOS: JaduPc’s in-house, Linux-based operating system tailored for education, kiosks, and embedded hardware.

  • The launch plans and architecture of XenOS: a Linux-based Automotive Operating System designed specifically for the CAN-based ECUs in next-generation electric vehicles.

  • Strategic goal: to reduce foreign dependence by creating an indigenous, open hardware + software ecosystem for Bangladesh’s auto and mobility industries.

🤝 Why It Matters

This collaboration is more than just academic; it’s a long-term ecosystem strategy. With universities like Dhaka University acting as think tanks and testbeds, JaduPc aims to inspire thousands of young engineers to build Bangladesh’s own industrial base in:

  • Automotive electronics

  • EV operating systems

  • Real-time data systems

  • Safety & telemetry solutions

This industry-academia link-up represents the first chapter in a national-level innovation framework JaduPc envisions — where Linux, education, and local talent power the next decade of mobility innovation.
